Dag nabbit, I just love the m22ti's. Therein lies the problem. I was all set to find something wrong with these speakers. I was all set to return them and order the m50ti floorstanders instead. But, how can I return these wonderful speakers. Now, I'll never know if I would have liked the floorstanders better. And I have to go find some speakers stands to boot. Dag nabbit.

Consider the versatility you have with those M22tis. What if you went bankrupt one day and had to sell the house (I'm assuming you own)? You could easily take the M22s when you moved to a tiny rental apartment...

Yep...if you HAVE to have towers, and can afford to keep the M22's - keep them. They'd be great for use as rears in a 7.1 setup or as a nice pair of mains in a secondary stereo system.
That said though - I HAD to have the M60's after hearing them, and the only way I could pull it off financially was to sell the M22's I had.

Sushi,
Please don't fret. There is no way I could let go of these beauts. I j-u-s-t can't. It was a long journey, but I know I'll be wondering about the floorstanders. I think I'll sit pat for now. Time to work on the satellites.

I couldn't resist the urge too. I am keeping my M22's though. I too love them a lot. The M60's have been ordered earlier this month. They will hopefully arrive 9-Sep by vessel but I will be away for 2 weeks from 10-Sep onwards. I can only hook them up after I return from Europe.
Until then I can only wait and wonder....

It would be interesting to find out how many ex M22Ti owners has upgraded to M60, M80 or even M50? And if thats the case why not suggest the M60, M80 or M50 in the first place and skip this intermediary step and let people believe they will be happy with the M22Ti but in reality would be more happier with the M60, M80 or M50 considering Axioms pricing is excellent in comparison to other companies in any range.

I certainly wouldn't call myself disgruntled. I loved the M22's, but I have a pretty big room. For me the M60's were really better. In a smallish room the M22's may very well be perfect. Also the M60's, though a BARGAIN in their class, are still twice the cost of the M22's. Not everyone has $800 to dump on a pair of speakers.
BTW...this was my 500th post!!!
