I was not sure if this was the correct place to post this but I wanted to show-off my custom Axiom grills. The service people at Axiom were great to work with and we could not have done it without them. The grills were hand made tie dye by Sam (Samantha) at Hard Truckers (hardtruckers.com). The Hard Truckers are ex-members of the Grateful Dead road crew that created the famous "wall of sound". They make custom speakers for rock bands (not home speakers) but I talked them into doing a custom tye die for my home Axiom speakers. I think they turned out great and the service people at Axiom were very helpful when it came time to mount the covers.

Thanks to all that helped!

Love my Axiom speakers

Thanks - I agree

The people at Axiom were so great at helping. They supplied the grids and were very willing to share the mounting technique. This is a great company and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. By the way - these speakers sound great. As you may have noticed I am a big Grateful Dead fan. When I play the Grateful Dead movie there is this great animated intro that just sounds fantastic on these speakers - I shake the entire neighborhood!

Thank you so much

At first I thought, man those are distracting for HT but they are cool and I bet after a few minutes of a good movie, you'd never notice....

Not for me, but I do think they are impressive.

They don't do a thing for me, but I bet they make the speakers sound even better when watching that Grateful Dead movie or any 60's movie for that matter;\)

I finally thought of the word I wanted insted of 'better'.

Those grilles would give late 60's early 70's movies that authentic sound, just like you were there, transporting you back to a bye-gone era.\:\)

Probably in a typically sedately painted room, such as what you had prior to the custom grills I'd say they would more than likely look out of place *but* with the bright turquoise(?) paint on the walls and ceiling(??) ... along with the awesome wood flooring and bright white baseboards these guys look like they belong ... great job and what about a custom paint job on the speaker cabinets, is that a future project? \:\)

I like 'em also.

Those work surprisingly well in that room. Sure, they're probably not for everyone, but what a breath of fresh air! I like how lively they are. Certainly adds some life to what is normally the most boring aspect of a speaker.

Thanks for sharing.
