my PC subwoofer (Boston Acoustic) is picking up TV signals--loudly! This happens most of the time but is more pronounced when i touch the volume knob. does anyone know what can be done to prevent this from happening?

Tv noise as in TV audio? or some other sort of noise. Is the volume knob plastic?

A similar thing happened to my brother (also a member here), but it occurred when he connected his digital piano's audio out to his computer.
Perhaps tha audio cable that connects the sub to the computer or other speakers is acting like an antenna ?? I'd try moving it around to see if that helps. You could also try plugging it into a different circuit, if possible.

Hi BRC,
Try coiling some of the cables from the sub to the PC into a coil and rotating the coil. Use a twist-tie to keep the shape. You may be able to "tune" out the offending TV interference by moving the coil around. Use a coil or a figure-8 when you coil up the cables. You're trying to "null" out the offending signal. Are you near a TV transmitter?
