Or a Red Green plan. Not enough duct tape for that, I suppose.

holy crap! I cannot even grasp the theory that you are trying to explain! Sounds like a Mr. Show skit! Sounds like...blah blah blah..slap some shiz in there...blah blah blah voila! the other option is to buy a dry wall hole patching kit from (insert hardware store here) for about $10. The way that Jason is explaining is the exact way I have repaired drywall, it's very simple ... it's the finishing part that can test your skills. Here's one article... Repairing Drywall.

holy crap! I cannot even grasp the theory that you are trying to explain! I was hoping I was clear but pictures do help...I googled my way and found this. Drywall Patch Lots of pics on the site to show you step by step what I was trying to explain. Hope this clears it up. Just realized this wasn't directed at me, but at least there's more instructions here if you need them

you wouldn't belive how hard it is to get a contractor to drywall in regina right now and once you get an estimate it is another 1 to 2 month wait before they come to do the work. as of right now it looks the same as it did in my last post.

drywall is easy, you can save some big $ if you do it yourself!

Call me chicken but that is one thing I dont want to tackle myself. The finishing can make or break the job and the way I do things it would probably take me another two years to finish.

Yah, cutting and screwing in the drywall is easy- mudding and taping the seams can be a bit tricky. REally it is no big deal though-
However, the worst thing that could happen is that you would end up with more drywall mud on the seams then you need and have to do a lot of sanding to smooth things out.... The end result would probably come out fine.
Hopefully you can get a contractor in there soon though!

Yes I would You can do the drywall, it is very easy and it would make the taping job quicker. I know around here, if it is already drywalled alot of the tapers will come by at night for side jobs and voila it is done, but it still takes a few months for them to fit you into the schedule.
