An opportunity is presenting itself.... 3 yr old M80's at a pretty reasonable price. Are they V2's if they are 3 yrs old?

The 60's will be fine. You'll never "miss" anything unless you compare them side-by-side with the 80's. Plus, keep in mind how DEEP both of these speakers are. There used to be some concern about room placement with the 80's, but nobody mentions that any more.
