Jason, just saw this, but I'll just point out that if the 12ga is too big to fit easily, enough strands can be trimmed off the very end so that it will fit. This doesn't change the overall resistance of the entire length of the wire appreciably.

Here is the part you need. Folks here just recently helped me through the same thing.

Male F to Female RCA

Since I was starting from scratch, I went a just a tiny bit cleaner by using hex wall plates with this insert so it is coax inside the wall with an RCA wall plate. Here is the insert.

F to RCA wall plate adapter.

In fact, Parts Express shipped very fast and I spent an hour last night putting all my wall plates together.

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

I also bought this 7.1 Channel Wall Plate for the wiring closet area.

It looked pretty nice once I screwed in all the included jacks. I bought an extra 6 hole face plate and some extra F to RCA inserts to terminate the rest of my subwoofer positions.

It looks like thing things I ordered shipped yesterday, so I should be able to finish setup soon. I just got the front and center speakers hooked up this morning, but need the parts for the surrounds and sub. I'm going to wall mount surrounds today probably.

I finally got everything setup. One of the parts wasn't right, but that showed up yesterday. We watched about an hour of American Gangster last night (my wife got tired, so we are going to finish tonight), and it sounded pretty good. I can tell I'm in a different room. The speaker location for the fronts is better, as one was in the corner pretty much before. I also have a more lively room now, since the floor is hard wood, although we do have an area rug in the room as well.

Thanks for everyone's help. Now I just need my dimmer switch for the lights and I'm all set!
