Well, sure, seating 40 people is nice, but I don't see any cup holders.

You're supposed to drink the Flavor Aid all at once, so cupholders would be extraneous.

No need for cup holders. Valets are popping in and out with shooter glasses whenever a sip is needed.

Also, notice the lack of surround. Probably using Bose 3-2-1 system.

The White House is supporting the economy of a blue state?

Maybe the installation was done prior to this administration. It would be interesting to see who did have it installed and whether or not the big guy's input was used regarding equipment, decor and etc.

Gizmodo to the rescue! The white House theater was converted by FDR in 1942 (was a cloak room) and its current decor is the result of a refurb by Laura Bush (no word on who picked the equipment).

I wonder what Bush likes to watch in there. I'm guessing he's a Gilligan's Island fan...

Ah yes, "Deep Space Homer". Great episode. Actually, he phones NASA and angrily asks that of them. Then he ends up on the phone with the president:

Homer: Hello, is this President Clinton? Good! I figured if anyone knew where to get some Tang, it'd be you.

I love the NASA guy that keeps clubbing people over the head, knocking them out....for no legitimate reason....

My god that's ugly. As I read through the posts I just assumed it was old Jimmy Carter days decor. This is the Laura Bush update? Eeegads!

i'm sure the theater will get a nice blue colour to it sometime next year. Give Laura some props though. i'm sure after Clinton turned the theater into a strip club/jazz club she had alot of work to do
