That leather recliner looks like a great place to kick back and enjoy a beer while immersing yourself in Axiom's sound.

Nice looking set up.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned in another thread, but have you played with moving the centre forward to the end of the shelf?

Too funny, \:D that surround looks so much bigger in the first two pictures. I guess I just have subs on the brain lately.

Your system on a budget blows away what I currently have. I always knew that my pc speakers and micro-sterio were crappy, but since listening to the quality speakers Axiom produces they sound soooo horrible.

I never thought I would be dissapointed when my employer cancelled Saturday overtime.

I hear you on the quality of sound changing what you listen to. Years ago I was blown away by the sound of live classical music when I listened to a quartet playing... well I don't know what, but man did it sound good.

Enjoy that music, Larry, and don't forget some of the excellent classical recordings that're available.

As Graeme mentioned, it would be a good idea to move the VP150 forward so that the front edge is flush with the edge of the stand.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Do you move the center forward to keep waves from bouncing off the glass? Anyway it's at the front edge now.

The majority of the sound radiates from the drivers. If it's recessed in the cabinet, some of the energy bounces around in the cabinet and may not reach your ears or may reach your ears later than it should. That leads to a muffled sound.

I would think in looking at the center, it is fairly open to the sides and back, and thus could possibly negate standing wave or baffle step issues.

I think the issue was more likely that you don't want to have nearby "reflection points" of any type, as they may "smear" the imaging...
