Hi Alan, I guess my room isn't small. I'm going to use my M3ti for fronts until I can afford floor standing speakers.

I will get QS8 when I make the purchase. I don't think I'll be sitting further than 12 feet from the center channel. I'll probably go for the VP100.

Is there any difference between the VP100 and the VP150? I just want to make sure. So I don't regret getting the lower model and say to myself, "I should of get the other one".

Only a slight difference in that the 150 plays a little lower than the 100. I find male voices to be better through the 150, but it is only a marginal difference. If I didn't own both and have a chance to hear them side by side I wouldn't be able to tell them apart.

Does anyone else have experience with two M22s (TWWWWT juxtaposition) as a center channel as opposed to the 100 or 150? I know our good friend Mojo highly recommends it in his "center shootout" and has privately to me. This will be my next purchase along with a pair of Qs8's.

Thanks guys

Hey buddy, it's going great. Still having problems but such is life. I've been able to get up and enjoy a couple movies recently!! Mojo, our room dimensions are fairly similar and I was wondering if you think my subwoofer placement would be best on my sidewall similar to yours? With my subwoofer in the corner it doesn't seem to pressurize the room equally, it's especially noticeable if you're in the left side of the room where the sub is. I know it's normal to get more base the closer you get to the subwoofer but it seems fairly localized. My friends are coming over tonight so maybe I can get them to help me out(the subwoofer crawl is too time-consuming when alcohol is around :-).

Thanks and all the best to you and your family

I know I have set my M22s in that position and it did sound better than the VP150, it seemed to go deeper and had better dynamics thanks to the ports on the M22 other than that I really can't remember any other differences.

Try placing the sub 1/3 of the distance from your rear wall...basically behind your two-seater. Set the cross-over on your receiver to 60Hz, the 500's cross-over to 60Hz and flat. Set the phase switch to whichever position gives you max SPL at the sweet spot. Measure the distance from your sweet spot to the sub and add 50% to 75%. That should be the distance setting you dial into your pre/pro. That should hopefully dial in the phase properly.

If you have an SPL meter and test tones, you can dial things in a bit more scientifically. Match the sub's SPL to the M80s' SPL at the cross-over frequency. And to get the precise phase adjustment, tweak the distance setting until you have max SPL at your sweet spot with just the sub on.

Have fun!

Sober? You sent that message at 12:44 in the morning. We were easily at the bar by that time :-). I had girls all over me, it was really unbelievable (I guess there are perks that go along with being handicapped). Am I allowed to post pictures on here of me drinking my beer as it's wedged between my girl friends breasts amongst other things as long as there's no nudity? You guys will definitely get a kick out of it. Also, we were well on our way by 10:00 and then the wii came out so we didn't get to do anything with my sub. Thanks for the input though, I'll definitely try that. As far as placement 1/3 the distance from my back wall behind my two-seater, you did mean on the side wall like yours correct?

Thanks Mojo

Something tells me to stay away from answering this one. . .
