I was wondering if there were any Axiom M80 speaker owners out there who power them with an Emotiva LPA-1 amplifier? I am a little concerned about the "4 Ohm" issue. Emotiva says no problems, and I hope that is true. I will be getting the Epic 80/350 surround system. (and can't wait!) Thanks!

Forum member PeterChenoweth waxes rhapsodic about that combination, to the point where the envy is palpable. He's your man.

I had the MPS-1, and it kept shutting off at non insane levels, tried 3 different replacement amps, no luck. Of course people will tell you my basement is possessed.

I have been using the M80s with a LPA-1 and I have had no problems. It is a great amp for the money!

I power my m80's,vp150, and qs8's with an Emotiva XPA5 and it is unbelievable!! I Don't know about the LPA-1, but if you only need 5 channels I would go with the xpa5. I am so glad i did!! Axiom and Emotiva are two great company's!!
