Hey guys, I found this video on youtube of a home theater with "mechanical" speakers that move into place when required. They're obviously nothing compared to our Axioms but I know everyone around here likes to see neat stuff. They would need a crane to move our M80s Hope you enjoy. Video

Stupid. And who the heck puts reflective paint on their ceiling?
(Don't answer that, JP.)

I'm not shooting the messenger, here. I'm reacting to the tilta-speakers and shiny ceiling.

I think that the motorized speakers would be fine for a living room, so in that aspect, I can say "okey dokey" but home theater? The guy in the video should never use the words home and theater when talking about those speakers. Of course, he is using the video for advertisement, so I guess he can say what he wants.
I agree about the TV placement. In our living room, we have a big cubby hole above our fireplace that our "monster" 27" TV sits in. Until we got our new reclining furniture last year it hurt to watch TV for any period of time. Not we find that reclining back actually puts you into a good, or at least acceptable, position for watching.

It's a cool idea...but the speakers are so small that it's utterly useless to have them retract!! They're hardly noticeable when they're in 'position'.
Like Hutzal, I fully expected larger speakers to come way down.
