I'm watching the SRV Live from Texas DVD, but its only coming out two channel. The DVD is recorded in dolby digital surround, so what gives? If I pop in LOTR I get 5.1
I poked around in the wmp menues, but there are no menues for specifying 2 channel/5.1.
I am guessing that there is more than one audio track on the DVD?
Anybody know whats happening under the hood that I only get 2 channel?

You need to hit main menu after the show starts and then select the surround mode .... if I remember correctly.

Dolby Digital Surround does not imply 5.1. Make sure it says Dolby Digital 5.1 for 5.1. Otherwise, depending on your receiver, it will appear as "Surround" or regular DD2.0. In both cases, the PLII engine should be able to use the "back channel" and "central" info that is encoded in the "DD Surround" track. Yeah, and make sure it is the one selected on the DVD as Rick mentioned!

There is an option for either 2 channel or 5.1 Dolby Digital on that particular disc.
