How does the XMC-1 compare to the future UMC-1. It's also an upcoming model, yes

The UMC1 replaces LMC1 and the XMC1 replaces MMC1

the XMC1 will have a better processor and more options than the UMC1... so I've heard ;\) Just like the first generation

As for the Xpa2 it has no pro reviews yet. However I can tell you that my Xpa5(its brother) is incredible. I use it to power my m80's qs8's and vp150. I have never had a problem and the sound is Great! When i use it for just stereo to drive the m80's the bass and overall accuracy is amazing. I would guess that when run in stereo it is similar to what the xpa2 would sound like..Minus a few watts of course

I haven't seen anything on Emotivas website on the XMC-1. Decisions, decisions what's a person to do but sit and wait.
Is there a doctor in the house to give some medicine for upgrade- ittis?

One of the things that I'm sure many on this forum have been reading about is that those companies that have gone the "Cirrus Logic" route for their processing chips have been making less and less of a commitment as to when their products are actually going to be available for sale. This seems to be happening as a result of the constant delays in the chip availability.

It is interesting to note that "Outlaw" has abandoned the "Cirrus Logic" platform to go the "Texas Instrument" route. Emotiva has chosen to stick it out with "CL" no matter what happens.

It should be interesting to see how this all plays out as potential customers for their products wait in anticipation of their arrival.
