If you can get an EP600 for that price, I would make it work somewhere! It is an exceptional subwoofer that works fine at lower volumes. I have one in a medium size room that I only occasionally listen to music or movies at higher than 80 db.

Yes, Anthony the EP600 comes in a vertical or horizontal configurations. It is the same sub, the only difference is the grill cover has the Axiom logo in a different location. Also, the holes for the rubber feet/spikes are in a different location.

I have a horizontal design and mine is standing up vertical, you could do the same.

Either way, my above comment still stands, you have to calibrate the delay and dB's for the location, no matter what orientation.

Hmm, they told me that it'd have to stay horizontal.

That was my thought but alas
a) $spouse resists the idea of me buying gear at all
b) Others have found the auction now and are in a bidding war that's driving up the price.
