I guess the main ones I'm interested in are LittleBigPlanet and God of War III (even though I haven't played the first two).

I'm a big fan of the franchise. it's one of the more replayable games i've come across.

As much as people complain about the denon 3808 remote I really like it... and want to program it to control the bluray player. I see no need to drop a couple of hundred doullars on another universal remote. ... Also, how much did the ps3 remote set you back?
As to the remote, keep in mind this solution, which solves the BluRay vs. IR quandary: IR2BT PS3 Remote They're sold out now, but regularly restock and send out new units. I don't have one myself, but have read several good reviews of them.

There is also this PS3IR-PRO Though more expensive than the IR2BT, it's in stock.

I gotta ask. Is there a Pro-Platunum Super Delux with Extra More?? I'm gonna go press the on buttons on my display and receiver now so I can watch some more Battle Star Galactica.

You mean the display and receiver actually have buttons.

OK, so seriously I can't decide between the magnavox and the PS3... Can someone remind me what the disadvantages is of the newer ps3 system? no backward compatibability? no sacd? anything else?
