I am looking to get a small stereo setup for a bedroom. I am considering the HK 3375 for an amp. Would this be a good match for these speakers? Which of these two speakers would go better with the HK sound? Also might consider the NAD 320BEE....again which speakers to pair with this amp. Any comments would be appreciated. Dermott

Neither the HK nor any other competently engineered receiver has a "sound", Dermott, so there's no need to worry about a match between receiver and speakers. As far as the speaker question itself, if you're going to be using them without a sub you might possibly prefer the M3 because of better bass, although it also has a bit of a hump in the upper bass. This, and a following slight depression in the mid-range gives it an impression of greater fullness , although the M2 is a little more accurate.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Speaker-amplifier "matching" is a myth, IMO. You will get equally good results with either amps. However, the M2 and M3 have quite different sonic characters -- the M2 is more crisp, forward and detailed (like the M22/M60/M80), while M3 is more mellow, relaxed and laid-back (like the M40/M50) with a bit more subjectively pronounced bass. It is up to your preference (many people here seem to consider the M2 more "accurate" to the source, though).

I also suggest you look at pre-owned stereo amps from reputable brands at AudiogoN.com and other similar sites. Stereo amps have not significantly changed for many years. You will save a lot by going with used gears.
