Just finished watching Jumper Not the best movie, but Not nearly as bad as the ratings say. I thought it was worth the rent through Netlfix for sure. I agree. This was another one where my expectations were pretty low given the reviews I'd seen. I was pleasantly surprised. Good action and a decent plot to boot. Worth the rent.

At the recommendation from someone many posts earlier, I picked up the X-Men 3 BluRay for my birthday and am now watching the first few chapters...
The bass is incredible, and I'm watching at very medium volumes to avoid waking the baby. I can't wait to try it maxed out.

Very medium volumes? That reminds me of the guy who says his shirt size is "extra medium"

That is a funny way to say it. I think originally I was going to say 'very mediocre' and shifted it to very medium. Jason

I just got Sleeping Beauty in Blu-ray from Amazon today, so tonight will be family movie night. Wednesday I'll be getting the new Indiana Jones movie in Blu-ray, I saw it at our crappy theatre so I'm looking forward to see how it looks and sounds at home.

Actually yesterday and part of today I watched all 7 disks of “My-Hime.” The first half is an excellent magic girl high school anime with lots of hints of more sinister things to come. The second half completely changes direction becoming thoughtful and dark. Almost like watching two different series. Good but not great background music (lots of acoustic guitar) which I like. Worth checking out if you like anime and series like “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”

Hmm... The cinematography is great, its a very compelling story and its an interesting look into a unique bit of Japanese culture.
I also found it very well written. The story with all its detail and the cinematography just pulls you in.

Jason, I am glad I did not read the book. It is very, very hard to capture a compelling book on screen.
