You know, one of the things I liked about Cowboy Bebop was the English voice work. I have to admit I've only watched it in Japanese so far, but my sister says it has one of the best English dubs she's heard in anime. I first got into anime with Ranma 1/2, which has a great cast for the English dub. However, once they changed the voice of male Ranma, I found it very hard to watch the series. Actually, impossible. Switching to the Japanese definitely helped me out on that one.

"Sword of Doom" by Kihachi Okamoto. A rather intense dark and brooding samurai film from the 1960s. Brutal and poetic.

Sounds like a cool movie.
I watched South Park, The Sarah Silverman Program, and more Fullmetal Alchemist. As for the last, I'm only getting to the last episodes of the first box set, with three to go. It's kind of annoying that the seasons are split into two box sets apiece, but there seems to be plenty of episodes.

Okay, I just added "Fullmetal Alchemist" to my Netlfix queue. Hmm, I just noticed I have a boatload of movies to watch.
Without a proper segue, I'll just jump right in:
Cartoon Network is evil. Take, for example, "Cowboy Bebop"--hated it at first, then grew to love it. "Home Movies"--didn't pay much attention to it, but then grew to really like it. "Venture Bros."--thought it was silly at first, but then grew to appreciate its sense of humor.
I want to go on record now and state, "I refuse to like Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's stupid and inane, and I pray I don't start liking it."
"Dr. Katz" is another show I didn't care for much, but then it clicked for me one day.
I don't understand this phenomenon of where I go from hate to like.
Smashing Pumpkins--couldn't stand "Siamese Dream." My sister had it and played it incessantly. Now? It's one of my all-time favorite albums.
I better watch out if I ever meet a girl I absolutely hate at first. . .

"Venture Bros."--thought it was silly at first, but then grew to appreciate its sense of humor. Yeah, I can still sort of take it or leave it, but I enjoyed it enough after watching enough episodes. I want to go on record now and state, "I refuse to like Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's stupid and inane, and I pray I don't start liking it." It's definitely stupid and inane, but I've liked it from the beginning. Join us. I better watch out if I ever meet a girl I absolutely hate at first. . . You'd better not hate my mother. That's all I've gotta say.

Tonight I watched the Buddy Rich Memorial Concert from New York on the Drum Channel (Internet). Neil Peart headlined the show. They did a smokin big band version of YYZ (Rush). Fabulous selection of guest drummers: Chad Smith, Terry Bozzio, Tommy Igoe, John Blackwell & Nick Rich (Buddy's grandson). Can't wait for the DVD!

Gengis Kahn, to the ends of earth and Asia. Who knew the mongols talked so much. Cool movie, but very Japanese.
