Thanks for the reply Jason. What is your opinion on running conditioners for the rest of the equipment? AVR, DVD player, ect... Do they realy help in any way?

I have a PF60(Belkin) and I haven't found any difference, other than it's kind of fun to watch how much the input power fluctuates through out a day.

It depends a lot on needs. My Soundbridge had a lot of interference. I got a PF30 and it disappeared. For the rest, I did not see/hear any difference (most of my sources are now connected to it, but not the amps--which includes the subwoofer).

For me a power conditioner isn't a factor for sound or video but since I have several pieces of equipment including two multi-channel power amps, with all the cables hidden behind the racks it all but eliminates the hum in the speakers. In my mind, though, the biggest plus is the delayed and sequential on/off capabilities which reduce the power surge when everything is powered up and prevents pops in the speakers caused by the amps which would occur if they were not sequentially powered down.

Sounds like it's still a worth while investment. What is the pf30 worth?

I bought mine from e-cost($326cdn delivered). I trust the belkin name, the PF60 had the highest joule rating I could find and I liked the blue display.
You could also look at Panamax, they make some very good ones as well. Some reports say they are better at noise reduction than belkin, but they have a lower surge joule rating.

Got mine at the link below (Canada) and picked belkin because of comments on the forum. I was not seeking magic, just getting rid of some interference (not groundloop) for the poorly electrically designed Soundbridge (at leats on that aspect). http://www.onlybestrated.com/belkin-pureav-home-theater-power-console-pf30-p-189.html

Personally, I think this is one of those things you buy "just in case" it helps. I thought about it a lot when first setting up my system and decided to wait to see if I noticed any shortcomings before putting the money down on one. Once I'd plugged everything in, I really couldn't detect any problems, so I decided not to invest. I do have a good quality surge protector into which everything is plugged, but that ran me about $30, not ~200. If I bought one now, I think the primary reason would be aesthetics, but that's just because I don't notice any problems in my setup. If you're like Eric (efalardeau) and you do have issues from interference, then it sounds like a very good investment. The only general advice I'd offer is to price shop. When I was considering these, I found the retail prices on all of these power conditioners are an absolute joke. 50% off retail was pretty normal when I was shopping. At the time, this was the one I was going to buy if I picked one up. Belkin AP 41300FC12. Price = $250, Retail = $750. Here's a link to the NewEgg page that contains significantly more information on the specs of this unit. Jason
