We had some friends bring a Turducken for dinner once. I thought it was pretty nasty. Greasy and kind of gamey. Of course, I'm sure the quality varies tremendously depending on where the Turducken comes from and how it was cooked. YMMV.

Heck, I'll be on the forum more over the Thanksgiving holiday, as an escape from the relatives....

But yes, a very happy Thanksgiving to all of my Axiom friends. \:\)

I don't think I'm a big fan of duck. Definitely a gamey taste to it. The rest of the Turducken was okay, although it didn't blow me away. Loaded up on mashed potatoes and dressing instead.

Duck gamy tasting, you boys don't eat much wild game do ya. Tame duck really needs to be cooked on a rack so the drippings will not be in constant contact with the meat. We stuff ours with cut up oranges and basted with the juice of the oranges.

That sounds good, cooking it that way. Duck may be something I have to acquire a taste for. I won't say it was bad, just different.

I didn't get any pics of the smoked turkey so tonight I took some pics of a chuck roast I smoked today. Boy it sure was good too.
