Should I open my M22?

I just noticed that there was a scratchy noise coming from one side of my pair of M22's. I switched sides and the noise is definitely coming from a specific one of them. Upon closer listening, the lower woofer is only making scratching/popping noises.
I left a message at Axiom for a call, the speakers are almost a month old.
So do I have to wait for tech support? Would it void the warranty to open them up and look inside to see if its a loose wire or something?
And if I did open them, is it the single screw in the back or should I go from the front and take out the woofer?
Thanks!
Walt

Personally I'd wait to hear back from tech support before I messed with them. They may advise you to open them up, but I wouldn't do it before you talked to them.

Ok. Joe just called and told me he is going to send me a new driver. So easy. Thanks for the advice though.
