Ditto on the Panda. Better than expected movie and MUCH better than expected sound.

Howsabout Happy Feet?
I've heard nothing but good regarding the story and animation, but haven't heard much regarding whether or not it's a great Blu-Ray...

I had the HD DVD and liked it okay. Not enough to keep it. I gave it to my nephew. The picture and sound were very nice.

I like all of the Bourne movies a lot. I like their style of filming the martial arts action (and how they make Bourne into an ueber bad-a$$) Agreed. I liked the fighting scene in Morocco. Makes me want to learn krav maga.

I'd flying solo until I get back to California Thursday, so I may watch Return to Oz tonight. Netflix sent it. It's probably too scary for my kids, anyway, with those Wheelers and the head-changing witch.

I have enjoyed the first couple episodes of the new TNT Series Leverage. It's kind of like Ocean's Eleven. Good production values, interesting characters, decent writing. I've noticed that many, modern HD TV series (including this one) have quite good sound now.

Went to See Quantum of Solace last night. Was anyone else disappointed in this new Bond movie or was it just me?
Maybe it was because I waited too long and they had moved it into one of the smaller cinema sections where they have not yet upgraded the sound system. Maybe I'm spoiled from my HT at home but I was let down right from the start because the initial car chase scene sounded like I was watching from TV speakers. No noticeable surround and no LFE at all.
In general though, the movie just didn't do it for me.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

Yeah, QoS was only fair, as Bond movies go.
I saw it the week it came out, i.e. in one of the nice screens at the local multiplex, and the audio was only so-so.
I'll bet the Blu-ray would be much better, sound-wise.
Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.
