can anyone recommend any software and hardware to tune the Room?
I have seen different dvd packages for tuning the TV and the sound, any recommendations?

Are you thinking Room Eq Wizard or True RTA? Sorry no links, at work and time is limited. You will need and SPL meter as well and even better is calibrated microphone.

This tuning bug is very much a slippery slope. I spend hours yesterday working with the various software apps suggested and pricing SPL meters and mics, and external sound cards for my laptop. My wife just rolls her eyes when I bring out the PC to do more testing on the system, it never ends, You just have to see what each little tweak does to the system.
