Kinda?
He called me a few minutes ago to recommend I put a little more Parmesan Cheese on my Ravioli... I laughed out loud.

The only reasonable argument for owning a gun is to protect yourself from the police.

He put it in quotes. Perhaps he was quoting his mother?

It's a quote, but probably not his mother. Golda Meir said it to Moshe Dayan.
And yes, I had to look the quotation up on Google.

Herkemer, welcome, but you'd be even more welcome if you didn't come to us with incorrect information. The amplifier Rule of the FTC is still in effect as of December 18, 2008 in 16 CFR Part 432 . Furthermore, the Commission has placed it on its 2008 review schedule for comments relating to possible amendments(don't hold your breath). The Commission had proposed further rulemaking on this point several years ago but terminated the rulemaking procedure about a year ago without making amendments. So, among the "people who had no idea" about this is the FTC and also includes all the manufacturers who are required to comply with the Rule for units sold in the U.S. For example, yesterday I was studying the Onkyo 706 manual and noted that the specs include the full set of FTC required data points, identified as such. So you're stating that today's FTC regulations are as strict as they were in the 70s? You're saying that during the Reagan era most of the restrictions were not removed (and to this day never replaced)? Nothing I said was incorrect. The extremely strict regulations that were made in the 70s from all the inaccurate adverts from the 60s were removed from FTC regulations. Yes, there are still regulations but they aren't as strict as they were in the 70s. So companies can continue to twist facts.

Just so I know... After 1979, are we strict, or extremely strict?
