It does take a few episodes to get the story flowing but I wouldn’t say that the overall tempo or character interaction to change so if you didn’t like the beginning don’t expect it to change to much. Many people I’ve seen rate it usually rate the first couple disks a star lower than #3 on.

The Band's Visit.

Its a quirky Israeli film about, well, quirkyness. The story line is of a fading Egiptian band ending up in the wrong place, in the middle of nowhere in Israel.

I guess its a short study of various aspects of human nature.

Some parts are really really funny without much of anything 'happening'. Call it an understated comedy.

Great Movie!

Sounds interesting. I'll have to see about that one.

Watched The Illusionist the other night and it was fantastic; highly recommended.

wow...just got back from the theater. I REALLY wanted to see Gran Torino and I went in with very high expectations. I was totally surprised by the film, and it still exceeded my expectations. Simply outstanding. Clint is simply a master filmmaker.

I'm looking forward to that one too. I've really enjoyed his films.

Man, I want to see that. I hope my sister can visit before it's out of theaters so I can watch it with her.

I had the same exact experience. Far better than expected.

Ghost In The Shell - Solid State Society

It wasn't as good as either of the Stand Alone Complex series, but it had a lot less time to tell its story, and there was still some fun stuff. As always, there was some nice audio.

I went to see Gran Torino. Yeah, Clint Eastwood rocks. I'm going to be very, very sad when he stops making movies. At least I have a support group here. Now let's all get ponchos and watch more Clint Eastwood movies.
