well, of course a big flat screen that streched along my whole wall would be awesome. but very impractical and i dont even watch that much tv, and when i do its not like i really care about it.

Thanks for the comments, gentlepersons. I appreciate your time and guidance.
I really thought having the bigass TV in the bedroom was a terrific idea, but it was a WAF killer aesthetically and financially. We're used to the 25" and it is about 12 feet away, so I don't think going smaller would be a good choice.
I'll shop the known brands for a bargain. Anybody know anything about Advent TV's? I was surprised to see that brand resurrected for that product type, but Best Buy was advertising a 27" Advent flat screen for $249. I've not seen it. I'll check Magnolia, Video Only, Best Buy and Good Guys. Other suggestions?

CostCo can always be counted on for very competitive prices. If you were in the LA area I'd sell you one of my old TVs for a song.
