Methinks you just made Bob's day...he has been concerned about his 2809 driving M80s. Amazing and with a 2307. That's GREAT NEWS!

So far, I have listend to about 2.5 hrs of Directv Dolby Digital TV (mainly food network) and demoed a couple of movies (about 5 mins ea of Chron. Of Narnia 1 and Fifth Element). First impressions:
1) NOT bright 2) Pronounced bass 3) Revealing 3) Amazing soundstage
I guess my old speakers were so bad (suspected blown woofer in left speaker) but I can't believe what I've been missing.
I don't find the Axioms to be bright, just more adept to reproducing a wide frequency range.
I didn't get a chance, but I need to check to make sure my speaker setting is not set to large because I can't believe how much bass is being output. Perhaps this is just because my old speakers did not produce a lot of bass.
I can't get over how seamless the soundstage is between the center and the mains. I could really tell where sounds were coming from with the old speakers (hard left or hard right).
I'll expand more after the weekend listening party.

I don't find the Axioms to be bright, just more adept to reproducing a wide frequency range. Thats the common experience. I felt the same way about the bass when I fisrt heard my system. I had a micro sterio before, so it really was just that much more bass.

Congrats! Welcome aboard the M80 train and enjoy your weekend.
