That would be good news for those that are not satisfied with 1.5 watts and are looking for reasonable cost amplification.
Now if Emotiva had been more strait up about the issue you could just call and ask them and trust their answer.

I've got all emo equipment (DMC-1 / MMC-1)driving M80's and am also quite happy with the performance. My pre-pro is the hottest piece of equipment in the bunch and it's only warm to the touch. I haven't kept track, but I think there are more problems with folks that use another brand avr or pre-pro, than with all emo equipment. May have to take a poll.
