\:\) Awesome. Tell me what you think when you get it.

Where are her Blu-rays, anyway? She really embraced the DVD format, so I'm ready for her to jump into high-definition already.

Watching Blazing Saddles at the moment. Can't believe it's been 35 years.

That reminds me, I need to put Blazing saddles on my list. Its the only Mel Brooks movie I didn't see.

Just finished LOTR The Two Towers. LFE is definately better now that I have EQed the sub.

I watched Blazing Saddles a couple of nights ago and was just reading some tidbits about Cleavon Little just a few minutes ago and came across this article...

>>>Bob Costas had a really good late night talk show for a few years some time ago. It was called LATER WITH BOB COSTAS. Costas was a huge Mel Brooks fan, so he did a full week with him as the only guest. He asked Mel about a scene in Blazing Saddles, that had been cut due to Mrs. Brooks (Anne Bancroft) request. She claimed it was in poor taste even by Mel's standards, and for whatever reason, Mel agreed. Here it is, as described by Mel himself: When Madeline Kahn's character (Lily Von Shtoop) gets the sheriff (Cleavon Little), alone in her room, she says in her thick German accent, "Now we see if it's true what they say about black men." She blows out the light and we hear the zipper go zip. NOW, the cut scene: From the darkness she declares with glee, "It's true! It's true!" Cleavon replies, "Stop sucking on my arm." Costas was speechless for a moment, then collapsed from his seat onto the floor. I was sitting on the couch in the dark squirting Pepsi-Cola out my nostrils.<<<

Cleavon Little rules in this movie. What a great sense of humor. I can watch it over and over again and catch things I missed every time. Thanks for the article info. Rick. \:\)

Speaking of westerns... Does anyone have the How the West Was Won blu-ray? I've heard good things, but my screen doesn't go that wide. :P It'll be mostly how the west and the dark parts of my screen were won.

OK, got my QS8s hooked up, but didn't get my additional wire shipment today, so I'm still 5.1.

Just a quick listen test to Vespertine again, didn't even make it to Unison. But that's a good thing, Pagan Poetry gave me such chills I had to come say something (and grab a sweater). That is one of the tracks with the "tick-tick-ticks". They've moved from the rear and side walls to floating somewhere over head. I think that's an improvement--just a little freaky. \:\) But the real chill-inducing bit is the chorus of Bjorks, which despite the surrounds being to my sides now, still sound if they are behind me, but even more convincingly.

I've got more listening to do before I make my full report--I'll do that in my own thread too.

I just discovered http://www.instawatcher.com. It's a much nicer way to search through the Netflix database for movies, TV shows, etc. that are available for instant watching. (You must be a Netflix member to take advantage, naturally.)

I just watched Stranger than Fiction and thought it was amazingly good. I wasn't expecting it.
