It was a good runner, I beat the heck out of that thing and it just kept on going.

I shopped around for one of those, Rick--that and a fastback version--but couldn't find one for a decent price. Opted for the regular Bug, instead.

I had a 78 Malibu (yes, the horrible CA V-6 one), kind of. It was my parent's car, but no one but me wanted to drive it. Then the timing belt broke.

I kinda just fell in love with the Bentley Continental GT Speed. It's got a twin turbo W12 engine that can take it to over 200mph.

I was behind a Bentley Brooklands on the way home this evening and couldn't help but notice the very neat space age digital stop lights on the lower part of the rear window ... I *could* see me driving that car.

In the more affordable realm, I just became aware of the next-generation BMW Z4: Now it has a motorized hard top (to keep up with the Joneses) and will be made in Germany, not South Carolina. European delivery, anyone?

My first car (in '88) was a '78 Pontiac Firebird. Fun 350 V8. But at the time, my father had a '68 Shelby GT 350 Convertible, that looks 100% identical to this: It has been hard to find a car to satisfy the itch this car left. The new Shelby's just don't do it for me. Sadly, it left the garage in one of the worst decision I have seen. Now the damn thing is worth its weight in gold. I saw one of these the other day, and I must say that in person, it is one of the best looking cars I have seen in a long time.
