I've been watching Arrow since I finished the first season of The Flash. I'm really enjoying it, despite the absolutely abysmal science. But I've always been a DC guy.

Sicario
I saw it in the theater, and I figured it would be a good audio showcase at home. It is. I wish I had a Dolby Atmos setup to hear it in its full glory, but it's still great.
Besides that, I like the movie a lot. Not a movie with lighter moments, so you might want to be prepared for that if you watch. There are a couple of really well-done long scenes, which you'll probably appreciate on a cinematic level. I'm still impressed how much presence Benicio Del Toro has in his scenes. He really knows how to give his performances mass with an economy of motion. Went to the theater to see this one a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I agree with you on all points, CV--the movie is tense and I, too, was surprised by Benicio Del Toro, he conveyed a lot with very little.

Oh, yeah, and I did watch the first season of Ash vs Evil Dead. It has its moments, maybe more so later in the season, even as other parts fell flat. I was hoping for more, but even so, I'm glad they revived the evil. Maybe they'll find their rhythm in the second season.

We finished watching "Merlin" on Netflix the other day and thoroughly enjoyed the series although you must ignore a sense of logic in many episodes but great fun non-the-less. Now on to "AD"...just started it, but looks promising. Christ's crucifiction in the first episode is very emotional, we'll see how the series unfolds...great sets and excellent acting so far.

I used to watch Merlin right after it would air on the BBC. I enjoyed the show a lot.

We're suffering withdrawal after the last episode, Nick! Merlin and Foyles War are the two best British series we've seen so far.

I ended up binge watching Making a Murderer last night. By episode 4 I was hooked and just had to finish watching as my disbelief grew that such things could happen.

We went to a theater today (rare event for us) to watch '13 Hours' - a must see IMO.
This sad story evidently is very true to the actual events in Benghazi a couple of years ago that created so much controversy. It is one of the best & most powerful movies that I've seen in a long, long time.
With the release of this film at this time in a presidential election year, I expect that there is a particular US political party that is very nervous right now...

The Revenant
I'll have to read up on how they achieved some of those crazy shots. Not that all of them looked natural, but you have to admire the balls of going for it. I liked the movie, though it was probably being a little too artistic at times. We weren't in a great theater, so I look forward to the experience at home.
