According to SVS the PB12+/2 has the PB13-Ultra beat for "output" for the first two tuning points due to it's dual drivers. But then down at the last tuning points is where the Ultra can beat it a bit.. So choosing an uprage.. It's been daunting, as there is so many great choices out there these days including Axiom...

Your room is about the same size as mine. I have an SVS PB12 Ultra/2 and I could not imagine more bass. I have to believe that the Plus/2 would be as good in my size room. I'm flat down to 11 Hz. I have the M60's, VP150, and 4 QS8's along with the SVS. I'm 99.99% certain that M80's would be overkill (especially with my sub handling all the bass chores).

Dewd,
What tuning point are you using? I have not EQ'd mine that's probably the biigest problem.. It's has the 12.2 drivers I believe as well.. I mean it can pump for sure, it's big too.. I'm hoping to find a good home for it soon. That will help toward the M60's as well.

EQ'd with Audyssey MultEQ XT. I have the PEQ on the sub disabled. M60's crossed over at 60 Hz (tried 40 and 80, got the flattest response at 60).

It's not just about the output or low tuning but flat response as well and the PB13 is very flat, I haven't seen any FR graphs of the Pb12/2. I know the PB12-nsd has a bit of a bump in it's FR around the 50-60hz range which I found annoying.

That sub should be more than enough, if your wanting cleaner and/or more output try two Auralex SubDudes under the sub and some bass traps, then look at equalizing. That should help alot.

I have Auralex Gramma's under mine. They are bigger than the SubDude and not as pretty. They made a huge difference in my sound - the floor and doors are no longer part of it and my pictures are safe(r).

Guys, I'm back thanks!! Will the subdudes work on a concrete pad with the pb12+/2 firing onto a deflector plate??? Bass traps or lack of most certainly is an issue and EQ-ing would help I'm sure.. Thanks for the input.. I'm stoked about gettn' the M60's too.. Until I rebuild the media center I have a sophet like shelf 3/4 up my wall that opens to a den space. This opening will be sealed up soon and the M60's will have to lay on their sides up on that shelf (10" sophet). This will give me a straight line of speakers including the center with only a few inches in between the speakers.. Does anyone think that will be a problem? I think it will be cool as a temp set up with virtually seamless panning in HT..
