Have you had any problems? Do you get the local networks?
We just got an offer in the mail that may be attractive enough to bite on. Wondering about quality, reliability of signal, blah, blah, blah...
Thanks in advance,
Scott

Hey Scott! Got it. Love it. No problems. Local channels in glorious HD. I do NOT have signal quality problems, despite our rainy NW weather. I did have a hardware issue with the first HD box I got, but they resolved it quickly and free. The few times I've used it, telephone support has been excellent. We have two older SD DVR R15 boxes in bedrooms that just keep chugging. I can schedule recordings (on any of the three DVR's) from anywhere using a web interface. I can stream content from the HD DVR to PC's on the home network (while recording two shows and watching another one). The forums at http://www.dbstalk.com/ are active and informative. HD looks great. Except for the cost, I really can't think of anything to complain about.

I've got it also and have been extremely happy. As Tom mentioned customer support is great, the HD channels look very good and there is ton's of decent programming. I had Dish Network for a while and was very dissatisfied with their service.

The offer that just came in is their HD package, 150 channel/130 in HD, local networks, HD DVR, all for the low, low price of $35/mo, good for the next 12 months. Considering we're paying $21/mo for basic, basic cable from Comcast, who has apparently filed for Chapter 11 in order to dump $8 Billion in debt to someone else (Read: you and me, folks), it's a small increase for full HD on many more channels than I can get OTA.

Love DirecTV yet currently wondering about UVERSE, currently stuck with 1.2 MB DSL and 18 MB down stream sounds pretty good but you can only get broadband if subscribe to TV.
Not to hijack the thread, but wondering if alternatives to DirecTV like Verizon FIOS or UVERSE are worth considering?
Given quality and customer service I don't think you can go wrong with DirecTV.
