Well finally got my system all working and the problem was a couple of faulty HDMIs. Is it really that common I was pulling my hair out because the cable would work 50% of the time. I could see on 2 of my cables where the pins were a little off. Well once I got all brand new HDMIs everything works fine. I do have two questions though anyone with a PS3 I thought it was suppose to play SACDs now. I have a bunch of those now ( have new Oppo coming soon) and the PS3 will only play the CD portions. Am I missing something I have all the updates. Well just waiting for my center and QS8s how long does it usually take when you order from their discount center?

It is quite likely your PS3 does not support SACD. That was a feature on the earlier models released in 2006-2007. When Sony bumped the hard drives in future models they dropped the SACD support.

On the HDMI cable, I think they are really susceptible to dirt. After I moved, the one cable I didn't save the little plastic caps for crapped out on me after I set everything up again. Picture and sound would come and go intermittently.

It was a craptacular moment when I first realized my PS3 did not support sacd. I've been holding off for a while on getting a player, but it was pointed out on this forum that with the release of the new Oppo player we should see a slew of the older model on eBay, etc. I sympathize with you...
