Yes my bed will be rockin every night even when I am alone. Nice hompage Micah, cute kids and wife.... Be careful on those bikes I used to be into that and snowmobiles and ended up in a wheelchair but with hard rehab I am working on getting out of it.

Be careful on those bikes I used to be into that and snowmobiles and ended up in a wheelchair... Thank-you for the compliment, I'm sorry to hear you had a life-changing accident. I've been riding for about 20 years now. I've always been aware of the risks involved. It's unfortunate when something happens like what has happened to you. I hope nothing like that ever happens to me, but of course you never know. I hope you make it through your rehab in shape to enjoy your life to the fullest again!

Thanks, I dont let it get me down at all. But off course it helps when one doesnt have any money problems and can enjoy so many expensive hobbies ( Got huge settlement from acccident) I feel guilty sometimes because so many are hurt from this bad economy. Now that I have learned more about home theater with my bedroom I can start planning my livingroom. Could use recommendation for a good a/v to start for that or should I go amp, pre- amp?

Guy, I'm certain that it's a great comfort to you to be able to enjoy such fine sound. As far as your living room setup, yes, a receiver is almost always the sensible, cost-effective way to go. Putting things into two or three boxes instead of one doesn't work any magic. The same standards apply and if the amplification is audibly flat from 20Hz-20KHz, with inaudibly low noise and distortion(typically available these days in receivers of even modest cost), that's all that any amplifier can do, regardless of how expensive it is or what its maximum power capacity is. Laboratory measurements and properly controlled blind listening tests confirm this. Two units that have all the modern features and more than enough power for nearly all uses are the Denon 4310 and Onkyo 876. Both should be on your list for consideration.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.
