I will be upgrading my sub this month. I will be sending back my ep350 v3 and getting the ep500. For anyone who has done this.. Do you have to send in the speaker you are trading up first or after you get the replacement?
Thanks.

I did not do it, but you might want to call the toll free number or send an email to Axiom to speed this answer.

Well the EP500 should be here in about four weeks. I will be sending the the 350 back once I receive the new one.

What prompted the upgrade to the 500?

What prompted the upgrade to the 500? Well I liked the 350, but I felt like there was something missing when watching movies. It was more than enough for music though.

I'm sure you'll love the 500. I have not heard the 350, but it's actually partly because of your PM when I was first piecing my system together I went with the 500 - and I love it. So thanks and I look forward to hearing how it works out for you.

you may find that your 350 was better for music and the 500 for movies. that is why I kept my 600 and 2 350's.

No, I leave the sub on all the time. I may tweak the gain up and down in my receiver menu depending on the source. I love the sound of the W-22's but in general I find they need the sub and I am not satisfied with the sound if I send full frequency range to them with no sub (pure direct mode on my AVR with stereo sources).
