I will be interested in your conclusions and experience with the 985 or its big brother the 777ES. I had a NAD T571 five disc changer I sold to get the 975. I bought the 975 based on its specs fr both dvd and audio decoding. I will be interested in its performance compared to your Panasonic. I have less problems now with skipping on scratched rental discs than I did with the NAD.

John, you are right. It was John Henderson, and thanks for the input from everyone on megachangers. BigWill, I checked out the 355, and I agree the display is pretty legible.
