Very cool Robb.
I had a listen and liked the sound of “Somebody’s Her,” “Blood Red Moon,” and “Static” but “All or Nothing” and “Decision Time” were a little to slow for me but I understand having variety makes sense. Have to say “Blood Red Moon” was may favorite.
Keep us posted.

I'll have a listen later today. I can type and conference call at the same time but music is too distracting for me.

Sounds great, I'm hearing some "Live" influence on a couple of your songs. Were they one of your influences? Congrats and keep it going, you've got a good sound.

Hey guys, just signed up for a facebook page. You can become a fan and get notice of any new releases we have. The facebook page will have much better quality songs. http://www.facebook.com/thecolourelectNo influences from LIVE here. We're not sure what we sound like, we all love different types of music which is why we don't really have 1 type of sound. YE

Robb: Sounds good!
See? America is the land of dreams! If you stayed in Canada, you'd be playing hockey or you'd be a Mountie or Prime Minister or something.

He could do much better than Prime Minister, he could be a Hockey Referee. They have way more power.
I wanted to listen at home last night before I commented and I must say, I Like It, Robb!!
I really like "Somebody's Her". I'm not sure how you'd describe it but a strong rhythm with just a bit of blues influence with a hint of bar-room funk guitar mixed in the background is a sound I've been looking around for more lately.
All the songs are surprisingly strong for a first release. Also, even with the lower myspace quality, the production sounds way better than most "hey my buddy has a mixer in his basement." bands you find out there on the Myspace and Facebook pages.
Finally, I have learned just enough about percussion that I can listen and tell when a drummer is throwing in his own rhythms on the high hat like on Somebody's Her and when your throwing a multitude of mini-fills and beat changes in to the mix instead of just keeping an old fashioned 3/4 rock and roll beat as seen in "Blood Red Moon" and "Static". NICE JOB!!!
I'll be ordering your EP for sure. I think a link for "signed copies" is expected here too.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Countless hours have been put intothe production and mixing of these songs. When I moved from Canada (referee land) to the states I had no idea what to expect. Seems God planted a bunch of skills in me I had no idea I had (mainly producing and engineering and mixing).
I am totally stoked you Guys like the songs. I love the fact that some of you guys like different songs than others. We wanted to have a sound that appealed to all types of people while still retaining our general unique rock feel and sound.
Again, I appreciate your comments and support. I'll keep u guys updated when the EP gets released.
U can get gig information and EP updates by becoming a fan on facebook, and following us on Twitter. (see my sig). I'll be in touch!!!
PS: to bring this back to Axiom, the m22s were great to mix on. Mids were very easy to tame, highs as well. It's easy to tell if my mix sounds good, but I didn't have a sub to handle 80 and lower. Once I got used to how the kick should sound on the m22s it was pretty easy to handle the low end. I wish axiom made a bookshelf that was an M22 with response to 35hz. I can only dream for such things!!

Sure they do it’s called an M80. Just can’t be a real tall bookshelf you put it on.

I thought we were all promised autographed versions?? Oh wait, I promised that. Apparently, I had no authority to do so. Should never have signed for that registered mail.
