It had triple, 2N+1, redundant power supplies, and that was most of the cost. My current case only came with the single, standard PS, but it otherwise pretty much the same. So that difference accounts for most of the $300. (Also, the older one also had a 10-bay SCA backplane, whereas the new has a 8-bay SAS.)

SCA = Single Connector Attached, Wide SCSI, but with the power leads incorporated into the data connector so the drive and easily be hotswapped.

SAS = Serial Attached SCSI, the conversion of the SCSI interface from parallel to serial, much like the change in IDE from PATA to SATA, uses the same connectors as SATA (actually SATA drives can be plugged into a SAS system, but not the other way around).

I liked the LC-10 so much I'm thinking of getting another one.

Also REALLY like my current Antec P-182.

It's fun to shop for computer components.

Way to much fun ;\)

And that poster is classic. Back in the 70s I use to watch European soccer on PBS and thought it was quite good. It’s gotten so bad now that it’s unwatchable for me.

Pretty cool. I may have to keep that in mind if I make an HTPC at some point.

That is interesting. Cool concept, but I don't know if it is right for me. I have always wanted to take a 1960's console stereo and infuse it with modern technology, though.
