The suggested angles I have seen for the fronts are between about 22 and 30 degrees, measured as shown in the link. See link: http://support.radioshack.com/support_tutorials/audio_video/Images/placem7.jpgI found that a slight toe in at the wider separation sounds about the best to me. When playing two channel music the m80's still have the ability to "anchor" vocals as if coming from dead center between the two speakers. The wider separation provides a very wide sound stage. Most of my listening, gaming, and movie watching is from the center seat on the couch.

The M60s anchor the soundstage in the middle as well - assuming that is what the engineers placed on the recording. I have finally quit crawling up to my VP150 to make sure that it is not playing As far as toe-in - using the pencil on top of the speaker - I have aimed the speakers directly at the center seat. I have not measured the distance between speakers but am wondering if this is too much - or not necessary?

People generally recommend a little less toe. Do the same thing, but have the imaginary line cross 2 or 3 feet behind the center seat.

Update: I installed the ideal lume standard from cinema quest behind my TV... adds a very nice touch! Makes for easy viewing with no reflections, and the light provides just enough lighting to see what you are doing at night. The reflection off the wall seems to help the contrast a bit too.

Glad to hear yet another person likes their light. After singing the praises I began to worry that I over-sold the idea.
The observed contrast is aided having just the right amount of light in the room. Too much, and the picture will appear dark, not enough, and blacks may not appear as dark; along with the light from the display dictating the state of your pupils, rather than them letting a consistent level of light though.
