Hello All,

I am looking to get a pair of M80s and a Center Channel.

Originally I was thinking the VP150 would be a good fit. However I plan to mount the speaker on the wall so the W150 looks like it would be a better option to accomplish this with.

Is there any difference in the sound quality between the two?

To Confirm the W150 would be fine mounted ON the wall not IN the wall correct?

Thanks!

Axiom designed their W Series speakers, which is an "onwall/inwall" hybrid design to sound sonically similar to the regular speakers. They are also offering some fully inwall designs as well, see the product page.

Not sure what your saying in your last sentance. The W series speakers sit both On the wall, as In the wall, you have to cut a hole for the back of the speaker to sit in.

Or cheap shelf brackets from a home improvement store.

Guys pretty much covered it, you have to cut about a 3" x 8" hole for the W150 in the wall, this is obviously much smaller than the speaker itself.

Thank you guys. I wasn't sure if you had to cut a hole in the wall or not. The Full Metal Bracket looks like the most versatile solution.

I don't think you will find a difference between the two since the VP150 is not ported at all, but asking an expert at Axiom can confirm this.
