Can I effectively use these speakers on top of a large entertainment center angled down. I currently have Bose cubes up there. I really don't have the floor space for stands. Also, can these speakers be used on their sides if ht. becomes a problem.
Thanks for the help!

I don't think it would be a problem at all. For starters, they will be a 1000% improvement over the Bose.

How far apart would they be?

They would be about 9' apart on the far edges of the unit. Do you think I could still use the bose sub and just switch the cubes out. I have no idea where the cross over point is for the bose system.
thanks

I would highly recommend against using the Bose sub module. I believe it crosses over somewhere in the 150Hz neighborhood, which is much too high for the M3tis. I think you'll find the M3tis have sufficient bass repsonse on their own. You could easily go without a sub until you gathered the cash to buy one.

Also, the 9' separation is more than adequate. As you mentioned earlier, angling them downward toward your listening position is a good idea.

I had a Bose sub module with the M2s, and the M2Tis easily outdid the Bose sub in bass. Once you get the Axioms you can say bye-bye to it.

Only Bose knows.

you might be able to find it if you search for the article where they did the freq response tests on one of the bose systems.

Huge gap between the sub and cubes.

Yeah, I've seen that article-pretty pathetic. I guess my point was that Bose doesn't publish the specs....I can't imagine why.
