No new Axiom sub (yet) I have a 10" JBL sub that I'm using now.

I've never heard any Axiom speakers so just going on what I've read. If I like them I will probably pick up a sub too eventually.

I did email Axiom today to upgrade the QS4 to QS8s. About 5 minutes after I sent the email, I got an email from Axiom stating my speakers have shipped (those boys are fast!) So too late I guess for now.

You normally want the tweeters of the front 3 speakers to be as close to ear level (when seated) as possible. The inwalls migh be difficult to angle.

I work for a high-end casegood manf. I think I will have the plant build me an angled spacer for the W150 to tilt it toward the proper listening height. The plant can match the veneer and finish of the Axiom cabinets.

I'll probably try them just against the wall first. They arent to much higher than seated listening height. Maybe 12" to 15"

My current infinity fronts tilt to the proper listening height, so maybe the spacer.

I suggest you put (or save) that extra money on a sub. The sub is the most important speaker and 7.1 over 5.1 is most beneficial when you have a room with two rows of seating so that the back row can also enjoy the surround effects.

I have the EP350 in a room just slightly bigger than yours (11X13 feet, 7 foot ceilings) and it produces MORE than enough bass. You can be anywhere in the house and feel the floor shaking from the sub in the basement!

I've got a smaller room as well, roughly 12 by 17. My Outlaw LFM1 delivers plenty of bass for that room, but I want more extension and more bass that I can feel in my gut if the scene calls for it. I'm also lusting after something like the EP600 that extends down very low, is linear but is still good at music.

Being in the states you have a lot of different subs to choose from. I'd have to say the EP600 is a tad over kill for that size room.
