John Mayer brings a kid up on stage to play guitar... The background story was that the kid had a sign that said "Hey John can I play Belief with you?" and John asked the kid if he could play, and he said yes, so he brought Austin on stage. Probably made that kids day- and gave him the guitar too! Youtube video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJsVgRN5qHYSince I'm heading to see John mayer in 7 days maybe I should bring a sign to get on stage... Except I can't play guitar... DOH.

oh yeah, a follow up...
this morning SUCKED. I have been periodically checking the ticketexchange on ticketmaster where people sell tickets at face value when they can't go to the show. I saw tickets on fourth row for the john mayer show we are going to for only $65 each and tried to buy them up. I got an error message and retried like six times... then they were gone. I called ticketmaster and gave them the error message- They said that they had just sold a minute or so before I tried to buy and hadn't come off the website yet.... BUMMER!
Plus, I failed to get any decent tickets to the Dave Matthews Band show in Dallas for the public on sale this morning- bad morning for ticket purchases!

That is very cool. Green Day brought someone on stage to play guitar during their most recent tour. They did the same thing every show, so it obviously was more planned out. It nonetheless was very cool.
Did you read about some of the statements he made in Playboy? If so, what did you think of that? I haven't read whether there have been any on-going repercussions at his shows or otherwise.

I try to ignore the news most of the time. I've heard some drama about JM on the radio and TV recently but haven't paid much attention. I like his bluesy guitar solo stuff, don't really care what the news has to say about it!

Funny thing is, this is all made to look like it happened spur of the moment, but Mayer gives the kid a $150 Squier guitar. I don't think he's got too many of those backstage normally.

David, just to let you know, I got Dave Matthews Band tickets for the show in Toronto! Did you have any luck via The Warehouse?

Wheelz, I just checked out the seating chart for the toronto show. Looks like the wheel chair accessible sections are pretty decent!

Yeah dude, it's the second time seeing them at the Amphitheater. Although the last time I saw them, I was seated a whole section behind wheelchair seating. I complained, rightly so though, and got my money back. Pending they seat me in the proper section this time, it won't be a free concert.
