Trying to decide on a sub, I am really liking the idea of running an EP600 but wonder if I really should just go with the EP500?
Setup
-Unfinished basement that will be finished some day, will be finished with 2 purposes in mind, music and theater 1300ish sqft
-Denon AVR4308ci
-M80's
-VP150
-Music run from PC, Auzentech X-FI 7.1
-Blu-ray run from PS3
-I don't know if I would consider myself an audiophile but I do take my listening experience very seriously, I listen to rock, metal, classic rock, blues and hip hop
-I also need a complete experience when watching movies
-I will round the setup out with 4 QS8's
I want a serious punch from the sub, complete clarity, subtleness when needed. I am fighting instant gratification right now, really wanting to order the EP500 because I have the cash for it but on the other hand I do not mind spending the extra money for the EP600 and can come up with the difference with a little finagling.

Cubic feetage is length X width X height.

Are you ordering from the factory outlet to get 10% off, plus the always 5% if you order 5 or more items?
Describe "Punch" ? Most people think their HT subs should sound like subs in compact car/truck situations, THUMP THUMP (with glaring eyes from onlookers), it is a little different.

Expanding on Randy's thoughts a bit, that "thump" is frequently frequencies in the ~60-80Hz range.
Man, Frequent Frequencies is another great band name!

And fans would be known as ... freaks
Hey man, I'm a Frequent Frequency freak. They could have their own fan club and meetings could be freakouts.

In Fred's case....Freqk's.
Half of communication is listening. You can't listen with your mouth.

Ending up going with the EP500, I decided I am going to close my theater room in so the EP600 would be too much for the space...got it positioned and tweaked out....sounds real real good.....have listened to a little music on it as well threw on We Were Soldiers blu-ray and listened to combat scenes...WOW!
