I loved the original Blade Runner. Still do actually.... I know that movie was pretty much hate or love, with no middle ground. Maybe that's why some of you don't like the new one? You din't like the original?

I have the new one on my table, but have not watched it yet. A freind of mine (who also loved the first one), loved the new movie.

We watched 'King Arthur - Legend of the Sword' Blu Ray.

I was a really interesting take on this legend, completely different from all of the earlier versions. Lots of sorcery & wizardry mixed with 'Matix' type visuals.

The soundtrack was wonderful with lots of great surround content filling the room. In one sequence where arrows were launched high into the sky with explosive packs installed, the explosions sounded like they were overhead - and we don't have Atmos. At one point my wife actually got up to answer the door, but there was no one there, ha!

Recommended for those who like these fantasy type movies...

Finally watched the new Blade Runner last night. OK, now I understand all the negative reviews. I had to work to like it. Good bit of LFE throughout the movie though. Some pretty cool visuals too. But damn.....it was hard to stay awake.

My son and I watched it last weekend. It was a struggle to get through. My wife fell asleep half way through. Glad I didn't waste my time going to the theatres.

Watched a number of movies the past few months.

Keanu in John Wick 2.
They should have killed him in the first movie and ended any possibility of a horrible sequel. I wont' comment on a/v quality because i couldn't really care less during such a horrible flick.

Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Taking awhile to get through this one since the family is sitting in. I'll have to rewatch this one again on my own in its entirety and get a better overall of the quality.

Logan
A very different movie in which i actually felt the story was kind of weak; predictable, that they could have done so much more with the idea of mutants 'dying' off and the concept of aged X-men, where-are-they-now?

Paddington 2.
Saw this at the theatre. Just as good as the first. A great family film but kind of like the Shrek movies with humour that works for adults as well.

On cue soon:
The Great Wall (Matt Damon)
Wonder Woman

Still some of the best visuals of anything i've watched has been Game of Thrones. Going through the whole series with the wife over the past 6 months. I would buy these on bluray for sure (waiting for 4k at this point and i'll need a new Oppo for it...)

Wonder Woman is great.

The story line was completely unexpected for me...

Watched 'Geostorm' Blu Ray last night.

Typical 'disaster' type movie that was OK. Weak storyline; however, the visuals in space were stunning & worth watching just for that alone.

Good soundtrack...

Watched It last night.... Sum-bitch...creepy. One of the best scary movies I've seen in a long time. But I have an unhealthy dislike of clowns, so my opinion is surely tainted. I hope they don't screw up the next chapter.

We also started watching Altered Carbon on Netflix. Wasn't planning to watch it, but clicked the button on a whim. Five episodes later, and needing some sleep...... Very good series for Sci-Fi fans.

I'm still seeing that g'damn clown in my head......
