Hi
How do m22ti spkrs sound with a pair of qs4,vp150 and ep125. i cant afford to upgrade to qs8, so am sticking with qs4.
My initial spkr system was the epic midi with an additional pair of qs4 for a 7.1. after reading abt vp150 and m22ti in the forum, i decided to upgrade to vp150 and m22ti instead of the additional qs4 pair. i dont know if am making a right decision, pls help me decide.
thnx
raj

The most important factor is the size of your room. I have M22's and QS4's and I think they sound superb, but then I have them in a small room (12x13x8). In a large room, I would go with the M60's and the QS8's.
If you do this search in all posts and forums - qs4 alan - joined with AND in the options box, you'll get all the info you need.

I too had m22' with qs4's ever so briefly. I noticed a tonal change when watching movies. If a sound effect went front to back, the tone went up in sound. Not a big deal but it bothered me. I do listen to movies with my speakers set to large, when it the setting was in small the difference in tone was barely noticeable, But I didn't like the overall sound. My room is small as well 12x16x8. I was already going to upgrade to the qs8's and I now have them. The tonal match is near perfect. I can't hear a difference.

it depends how picky you are. I had them for a while and thought they were pretty good.
But when i got the QS8's i was immensly impressed by the difference. I'd never suggest to someone starting out to buy QS4's. QS8's were clearly a better match.

Dunno if this will help, but, when I had to make this decision, I went with the M2's so that I could get the QS8's. I just didn't like the idea of getting smaller drivers (even for the rears).
Granted, I'm probably 90/10 hometheater/music, but, that is what I did.
I did go with the VP150 as well.
I'm liking it. I got a HSU STF3 to fill in the low end where the M2's don't go.

i WAS BASICALLY WORRIED ABOUT THE TONAL MATCH BETWEEN M22 AND QS4....I DONT THNK I CAN STRETCH TO QS8 NOW GIVEN THE COSTS I WOULD HAVE TO INCURR FOR THE SPKR WIRES WHEN I AM READY TO SETUP...
MY TV ROOM IS SMALL, 12 x 15 FT, I AM 90/10 MOVIES/MUSIC. SO I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE BEST CONFIG FOR MY PIONEER ELITE 53Tx.
GIVEN MY BUDGET CONSTRAINTS SHLD I DOWN GRADE TO M2 , WILL THAT BE A BIG COMPROMISE ....BOY AM I CONFUSED

Raj, if you'll be using a good sub there should be very little difference in your size of room between the M2 and M22, with the M22 having more of the low bass which the sub will handle anyway and the M22 being able to play a little louder, which might be relevant only in a bigger room. Also, don't let the cost of speaker wire be a major factor in your decision; the wire should total less than $20.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Well I'm now convinced that you should go for the QS8, but not at the expense of passing up the M22. Maybe the subwoofer would be a better area for budget cutting. You can get an Atlantic Technology T70 subwoofer for $200 at accessories4less.com. It got decent reveiws when it was selling for $425.
