Heart did an excellent version of "Going to California", amongst a few of their Led Zep covers.

Ok I was listening to “The Birthday Massacre” and heard their cover of “I Think We’re Alone Now” and wondered who hasn’t covered this song. Quick trip to Youtube and I found covers from punk to trance and even one on Cantonese. This one has links to many of them:

Stu Hamm - Moonlight Sonata
His bass solos are sick!

Without question - Try a Little Tenderness by Andrew Strong (The Commitments movie soundtrack) The song starts off slow and just builds and builds. I love it. Andrew was just 16 when he sang and starred in the movie. Actually the entire soundtrack is outstanding. Mustang Sally. I Can't Stand the Rain. Midnight Hour. Trailer

Here's a start -
Everclear - Brown Eyed Girl
I like some of the Alison Krauss and Robert Plant versions better than the original Led Zep ones.
Very cool cover of “Brown Eyed Girl” I hadn’t heard it. Gave me pause a first because it was do different but then I realized I was really liking it. I agree about the Zeppelin stuff.

Another one of my favorites - The Power Station - Get it On (Bang a Gong) Impossible not to speed if it comes on when I'm driving. For you youngsters, here is the 70's original.
