Hi I just received my new axioms, and I am wondering do most people leave the speaker grilles on or off. Is there a difference? New to the home theater world, aside from HT in a box. Ended up going with M60 fronts, VP150 center, EP500, and four QS8. I will be using for mainly blue ray, satellite tv, and video games, if that makes a difference for grille or no grill.

Hi gianq, it's up to you, just a personal preference thing.

Gianq, what Adrian is saying is that the grills are for cosmetic purposes and wont have any acoustic effect. (at least that is what i got from his comment)

Thanks guys. I was just wondering. Also is it possible to take off the grilles on the qs8. They seem on there pretty good.

Mine comes down to WAF. In that sense, there is a difference with grills on or off.

For me I have AWC (Animal With Claws), so I leave them on.

Mine stay on both due to WAF (wife appreciation factor) and personal preference. I like the minimalist look of a smooth black grill. I find it less distracting.

For me I have AWC (Animal With Claws), so I leave them on. First time I have heard that one and love it. Argon, my apologies as I forgot about the acoustical qualities being severely degraded if for some reason a nasty shrill appears with poor WAF.
