 Axiom Speaker Stands

I am in the market for a pair of 36" (and maybe 24") speaker stands and I am considering the SS36. I have a couple questions about it.
1) How big is the plate that the speaker sits on?
2) Is it fillable?

If my memory serves correctly, they are not fillable, and the top plate is about 6"x5".
Please correct me if I'm wrong guys. I'm going by memory.

I was tyring to figure out a way to fill my SS16's last night. On the bottom plate there is a wire hole and a hole for the rod that holds the stand together. I'm thinking about sealing the bottom 2 holes and filling the tube from the wire exit hole higher up.
